Hi, I'm Rebecca! Thank you for taking the time to look at my online portfolio. 

     I am a senior at Loyola University Chicago, where I am completing my BA in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Business Administration from Loyola's Quinlan School of Business. I have found the best of both worlds in choosing to study these two incredibly fascinating and constantly changing fields. Through my coursework, I have acquired the most important skills from both areas that will help me reach my dream of establishing a career within the entertainment/news/media industries. My goal is to work in a Public Relations, Corporate Communications, or Integrated Marketing position at any organization that truly values people and good work. 

      In addition to my successful academic career, I have gained invaluable experience serving as the Public Relations Coordinator for West Northfield School District 31, a district comprised of two schools within Glenview and Northbrook, IL. Having worked in this position for the past three years, I have greatly expanded my understanding of the PR field and further developed my writing and media relations skills. 

     On a more personal note, here are some things that might help you get to know me a little better:  I have a great love for learning, and I believe knowledge is power. Traveling is a hobby and passion of mine. I like to surround myself with people who strive to make a positive difference in this world. My parents and siblings are my heroes. I love anything and everything related to Disney. Finally, I strongly believe in dreamers because they are the passionate people who fill the world with imagination and creativity. I consider myself a dreamer, and I am excited for the journeys that lie ahead of me as I continue to chase my dreams.
